Established in 2006, we hold a small stock of antique furniture & works of art designed by architects and designers from 1750 to the present day. We pride ourself on our quality-not-quantity approach to acquiring stock. We do not exhibit at any fairs, instead we advise and trade by word of mouth and personal connections.
The company is run by Paul Shutler; with a grounding in cabinet making, conservation and auctioneering, he is well known for his meticulous research, his attention to detail and his eye for quality. Our interest lies in an object's design merit, not in its designer name. We deal in 'Historic Design'.
In addition to aiding the growth of numerous individual and family collections, we are proud to have sold, loaned or donated to the following international institutions:
The Art Gallery of South Australia; The Ashmolean Museum; Beckford's Tower & Museum; The Court Barn Museum; Wycombe Museum; The Mashiko Museum of Ceramic Art; The Mount Stuart Trust; The Museum of Modern Art, New York; The National Museum, Sweden; The National Museum of Wales; The National Trust; Oriel Môn; The Philadelphia Museum of Art and The Victoria & Albert Museum.
